Establishing an ARGIS Proxy

Naming an ARGIS proxy allows that person all the roles, access and abilities of the investigator or administrator.  This should not be done without due consideration of the implications of allowing someone to act on your behalf in all ARGIS matters.

To select a proxy, go to "Edit Profile" in the left hand menu.

Go to the "Proxies" tab and drill down to the unit in which the user to be assigned as a proxy works.

Select the unit, then the person; click the right-facing arrow to add the proxy.  To remove names from the list, select them and click the left-facing arrow.  You may turn proxy mode on/off as needed without having to remove persons from the list.  After making any changes, be sure to save your profile by clicking the "Save" (floppy disk) icon in the upper left of the screen.

A person designated as a proxy will receive an email notification.

At login, a person designated as a proxy will have the option of logging in as themselves ("Normal User") or as a proxy for someone else.
